- Option 1: You may not have been nominated yet.
Provide your Experiment Secretariat with your Team Leader Appointment Form, duly filled-in and signed. The Users’ Office will then proceed to your official nomination and your role will become active.
- Option 2: Your course, valid for 3 years, has expired.
Take the course again and pass the test on the CERN Learning Hub.
The Team Leader role is active when the following 3 requirements are met:
- The Team Leader has taken and passed the Team Leaders’ online course;
- The Team Leader has a current, valid contract with CERN;
- The Team Leader has been officially nominated.
The course is available online from the CERN Learning Hub.
Team Leaders are appointed for a renewable term of 5 years. You will be notified by email 60 days prior to the expiration of your appointment.
Once the application has been submitted by the Users Office:
Swiss cards are generally issued within 3-4 weeks by the Swiss Mission.
French cards are generally issued within 8-12 weeks by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
The Users Office will notify you by email once your card(s) is(are) ready for collection.
