I have passed the e-course and have a valid contract with CERN, but I still cannot submit EDH PREG forms. Why is my role not active yet?

  • Option 1: You may not have been nominated yet.

Provide your Experiment Secretariat with your Team Leader Appointment Form, duly filled-in and signed. The Users’ Office will then proceed to your official nomination and your role will become active.

  • Option 2: Your course, valid for 3 years, has expired.

Take the course again and pass the test on the CERN Learning Hub.

I have passed the Team Leaders’ course, but I am still unable to initiate EDH PREG forms. Why is my role not active yet?

The Team Leader role is active when the following 3 requirements are met:

  • The Team Leader has taken and passed the Team Leaders’ online course;
  • The Team Leader has a current, valid contract with CERN;
  • The Team Leader has been officially nominated.

I am a recently appointed Team Leader and I was told I need to take the Team Leaders’ course. Where can I find it?

The course is available online from the CERN Learning Hub.

I am a recently appointed Team Leader. How long will my appointment last?

Team Leaders are appointed for a renewable term of 5 years. You will be notified by email 60 days prior to the expiration of your appointment.

When will my Swiss or French card be ready?

Once the application has been submitted by the Users Office:

Swiss cards are generally issued within 3-4 weeks by the Swiss Mission.

French cards are generally issued within 8-12 weeks by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.

The Users Office will notify you by email once your card(s) is(are) ready for collection.
